By Slow, you mean…?

An idea. A way of eating. A lifestyle.

The international Slow Food movement was founded to counter the rise of fast food and fast life. This rushed nature has caused local food traditions to disappear, and people’s interest in the food they eat to dwindle.

We should care about where food comes from, how it tastes, and how our choices affect the rest of the world.

Grow it, cook it, savor the flavor

Hello Rutgers!

Welcome to this student-led Slow Food chapter. Our mission is simple: to do what we can to improve food and farming.

We want to change minds, inspire, educate, and take action towards creating a good, clean and fair food system.

We also like to eat…Slow Food Rutgers is all about getting our hands on scrumptious local ingredients, cooking up a storm in the Davison food lab, and sharing delectable meals. It’s a foodie wonderland, is what it is.
